Course Objectives

After attending this course participants should be confident and competent to

  • Perform a comprehensive pelvic interview, making sure you have screened for ALL pelvic conditions, even the ones you may not be competent in managing.

  • Perform a detailed pelvic examination and feel comfortable assessing for the function of the pelvic floor muscles and for pelvic organ prolapse.

  • Clinically reason a hypothesis from your examination findings

  • Create a treatment plan based on clinical findings.

  • Be able to identify what patients are within your circle of competence and when you need to read up, ask for help or refer on.

Approximately 15 hours of detailed content that you can work through at your own pace. The Online course also includes a downloadable pelvic floor muscle teaching tool, Patient Educational Handouts and a pelvic assessment form that will help you to clinically reason what is going on with your patient

Course Presenter

Mandy Roscher

Mandy Röscher is a Physiotherapist living in Brisbane, Australia Mandy qualified as a Physiotherapist from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa in 2008. She has worked in Private Practice since she qualified. She has a keen special interest in Female and Children's Pelvic Health. Mandy has a passion for teaching and mentoring and has presented a variety of lectures to qualified physiotherapists. Topics have included a variety of Physiotherapy based subjects particularly around Women’s Pelvic Health, Sexual and Genital Pain, Musculoskeletal Assessment, Pain Neurophysiology, Pain Neuroscience Education and Communication. Her courses are centred around the most current evidence available but are extremely clinically orientated. She focuses on the clinical application and integration of current research and practice with the goal being that course participants leave feeling their circle of competence has increased.
