Practical Component

The 2-day practical course will provide in person training of internal vaginal and rectal examination and manual therapy. It will have a clinical focus with a lot of integration of learning into implementable clinical practice.

  • Who is this course for?

    This course is aimed at Physiotherapists already working in pelvic health who are looking for advanced clinical practice assessment and handling techniques.

  • Can I attend this course online?

    No, the practical component of this course is only for live, in-person participants

  • Do I have to be a model for the manual therapy techniques

    This course is 2 full days and as such we will be practicing techniques on each other within the course. Whilst we try to be accommodating to everyone, participants who are not volunteering themselves cannot be guaranteed that they will be able to perform the manual therapy techniques on another participant and may end up attending the practical in an observational capacity only.

  • I have already completed the online modules, do i qualify for a discount?

    Yes. Discounted options will be available for those who have already completed the online courses.

Lulu Becker

Lulu Becker is a Physiotherapist with an interest in Pelvic and Women's Health and Mum of two girls. Lulu studied at the University of Witwatersrand and completed her community service in her home town of Kokstad before moving to London. In London, Lulu began working in Pelvic Health Physio and has worked solely in this area for the past 12 years. She also helps children with bed wetting, constipation and incontinence and teaches a Paediatric pelvic health course through CPD skills, called 'The Poo Detectives'. Lulu is passionate about pelvic and women's health and helping people who can often feel very alone with their symptoms of incontinence, prolapse and pelvic pain. Her clinical approach is holistic and draws extensively on her acupuncture and yoga teacher training and she is currently completing a post graduate diploma in mindfulness through the University of Stellenbosch. Four years ago she and her family moved back from London to Durban, where she now practices from home in La Lucia.

Mandy Roscher

Mandy Röscher is a Physiotherapist living in Brisbane, Australia Mandy qualified as a Physiotherapist from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa in 2008. She has worked in Private Practice since she qualified. She has a keen special interest in Female and Children's Pelvic Health. Mandy has a passion for teaching and mentoring and has presented a variety of lectures to qualified physiotherapists. Topics have included a variety of Physiotherapy based subjects particularly around Women’s Pelvic Health, Sexual and Genital Pain, Musculoskeletal Assessment, Pain Neurophysiology, Pain Neuroscience Education and Communication. Her courses are centred around the most current evidence available but are extremely clinically orientated. She focuses on the clinical application and integration of current research and practice with the goal being that course participants leave feeling their circle of competence has increased.
